FILM SET: "Behind Mansion Walls"

Didn't sleep last night. Stayed up answering emails from other busy creatives working out and scheduling in a series of film projects that has sure to line up my Feb and March weekends of this year.

Today I blocked out the whole 11 hours for some production assistant and work on the set of "Behind Mansion Walls" and being shadowed by Assistant Director - Serena Hunt. Serena is your on-the-ball film gal, having started way back in school doing extra work, fell in love with film sets and worked in the field ever since. She's got a whole bunch of credits, with producer credits for Fat Pizza and Swift and Shift Couriers, amongst others. Other crew members that I got scope out as well was the award-winning DOP Peter Coleman and Director James Knox.

I love being on set and being saturated with all the learnings that you can cram in. It's synomous to a food buffet - minus the food but rich in learning experience. I think one thing I admire on this set is the amount of ESP an respectful level of corporation between the units.

Oh did I tell you the set was done in the period of the 80s? All the large frocks, earrings, shoulderpads, hairstyles and talk about the bling.

My role was pretty cruisy and monotonous. Just a acting as a high roller's servant waitress. Doing countless takes has given
me the dead arm of serving cold finger foods that kept getting picked up and put back in between takes. But as love checking out other people's performances as well as the directors "directions".

Another skill I may look into in acquiring is an American accent. This film production was based on the trial of James Sullivan murder, hence the context was Palm Beach, US, hence, the speaking role cast had to have to accent.
